I’m Rutv. I studied Mathematics and Computing at IIT Hyderabad, with a minor in AI. I explored research across a few domains during undergrad, including fuzzy logic, coding theory, and multi-armed bandits.
Currently, I’m a Member of Technical Staff in the Front Office Tech department at D.E. Shaw and Co., on the Private Credit team, building and maintaining in-house software. I also spent a summer at Locus.sh working on route optimization.
A few things I’m interested in and hope to start writing about here soon:
- Football (lifelong Manchester City fan): currently building an FPL engine so I don’t finish last in my local league
- Geopolitics
- Combinatoric and probabilistic puzzles (see a running list of resources)
- Learning cool stuff like vim and Rust
- Trying to keep up with the latest models and harnesses
- AI safety
- Playing the guitar
- Reading sci-fi (currently working my way through Red Rising)
- Greek and Roman mythology
